If you're not Greek, the very thought of pronouncing a Greek word properly seems impossible, let alone learning how to speak Greek without knowing how to begin. The Greek alphabet is very unique and the richness of the Greek language and grammar makes the task of learning Greek difficult even for Greeks themselves.

But fear no more!! In this video, which is the first part in a four-part series, we are going to show you how to read and pronounce Greek properly in 24 hours! That's right! It may sound crazy, but it is a method that has been tried and tested numerous times before.

By the end of the series you will be able to look at any Greek word, Greek sentence or an entire page written in Greek and you will be able to read and pronounce each word properly. Not only that, but you will be able to say something in English and write its English pronunciation in Greek!

So grab a pen and paper, sit comfortably and press 'play'. Welcome to your first day of Greek lessons!
