Описание: We woke up at 4 AM to be the first people at Gotokuji Temple, the legendary Lucky Cat Temple in Tokyo! This is the surprising (very surprising) story of one of Japan's most popular temples, and the thousands of Maneki Neko statues that reside here.

Gotokuji is famous for being the alleged birthplace of the Maneki Neko (beckoning cat) tradition. We spent the morning exploring its sprawling grounds alone, we got to see the Jizo-sama and enshrined cat statues, and learned about the samurai lord who started this incredible legend.
