In This Video We Will Talk About: Before explaining a unique Critical Thinking Approach for EQ, we will check how majority of Beginners and intermediate Mixers start EQing and why it's wrong approach. We will check Sweep EQ Technique and why people using incorrectly. We will listen to many famous Plugins and their presets like UAD Pultec EQ, Universal Audio API Vision Channel Strip, BX SSL 4000E, Brainworx SSL 4000G, Solid State Logic Native 2 Channelstrip, BX Console Neve which 88RS style Console, FabFilter Pro-Q3, Cubase Studio EQ stock DAW EQ and more. I will explain why they don't work for our project. We will discuss why applying instrument-specific Curve doesn't always work for an instrument. Most importantly I will show you other 3 steps which any serious mixing engineer should take while EQing. We gonna be using scientific approach and we will measure everything with Voxengo SPAN Plus Frequency Analyzer. We will measure Harmonics, and body Resonances, string noise, Piano Hummer Noise with their Overtones. We will think about things like muddy, honky, bright, harsh, sharp, boomy, dark sound. We will talk about masking effect for Frequencies. We will lean stuff on EQ's Bell and Shelf Filters that majority of people don't know.
