Описание: The Mining Helmet (Guardatojo) is a sculpture made of metal, located in the north of the city of Oruro - Bolivia, in one of the revenues, start of the road to the city of La Paz.

On his forehead he carries the image of the virgin of the Socavón, patron saint of the miners ...
In the sunlight it shows a unique shine that is provided by the materials from which it was made. El Casco (Guardatojo) del Minero es una escultura realizada en metal, ubicado en la zona norte de la ciudad de Oruro - Bolivia, en uno de los ingresos, inicio de la carretera hacia la cuidad de La Paz.
Es un homenaje a los trabajadores de subsuelo de la ciudad y a su cultura minera, representación de aproximadamente 6 metros de diametro, rodeado por una rotonda con cesped sobre el cual se pueden observar figuras que representan las 4 plagas (víbora, el sapo, el lagarto y las hormigas) que fueron enviados por el Diós Huari, para aniquilar a los habitantes Uru-Uru, eliminados por una Ñusta (la Virgen del Socavón) ondeando una espada y petrificando a cada una de las plagas.
En su frente lleva la imagen de la virgen del Socavón, patrona de los mineros...
A la luz del sol muestra un brillo único que es brindado por los materiales de los cuales fué fabricado. Oruro es una tierra llena de Mito, costumbres y tradiciones, que se enmarcan entre la fé a la Mamita del Socavón y las tradiciones ancestrales, un lugar mágico para visitar y compartir su grandioso Carnaval el mejor del mundo
