Описание: Lawyer John Maina on Wednesday intensely cross-examined a police officer who accused activist Boniface Mwangi of assaulting him during an April 2025 altercation at Mwangi’s Sema Ukweli offices in Kilimani. The officer claimed Mwangi attacked him while resisting arrest, but the defense disputed this, alleging the officer was intoxicated and attempted to draw his firearm. Maina questioned inconsistencies in the officer’s account and suggested the police were covering up an assault against Mwangi. The case, which has drawn public attention, continues before the Kibera Law Courts.
