The Liberty Loop Golf Trail invites golfers to experience the rich heritage of the Philadelphia region while enjoying some of its most historic public courses. This trail winds through landscapes once central to the American Revolution and colonial life. Start your journey at John F. Byrne Golf Club, where tree-lined fairways trace the path of Pennypack Creek and echo with colonial footsteps. Continue to Cobbs Creek Golf Course, currently under restoration, situated near Overbrook and deeply connected to the city’s historical fabric. At The Golf Course at Glen Mills, play amidst rolling hills near 18th-century landmarks and the historic Glen Mills School. Paxon Hollow Golf Club offers a classic round in an area shaped by Quaker tradition and early American values. Nestled in the Wissahickon woods, Walnut Lane brings rustic charm and a link to Germantown’s storied past. Finally, Jeffersonville Golf Club caps off the trail just minutes from Valley Forge, where Washington’s troops endured the winter of 1777–78. The Liberty Loop blends golf with the spirit of freedom—where every swing is a nod to history.
