Hello, my fellow explorers! Last July, I decided finally do something I've been saying I was going to do for years... I went on a solo trip to Europe! Ok so it wasn't 100% on my own because I met up with my best friend Eriana for the last two countries of the trip. But the first leg of my trip was me completely on my own in Iceland! I've wanted to go to Iceland for years and was lucky enough that Icelandair still had direct flights from my home in Kansas City which made the jetlag a little easier.

Day one of the trip consisted of visiting Grindavik, the Blue Lagoon, and Exploring Downtown Reykjavik including Hallgrimskirkja and the Sun Voyager. Day two took me on an epic sunset whale watching tour! Day three was a 13 hour day of driving myself all over the south of Iceland including stops at Seljalandsfoss, Gljufrabui, Faxi, Geysir, Friedheimar, Gulfoss, and Thingvellir National Park. It was an incredible three days that I will never forget. I'm already dying to go back and spend at least a week traveling across the entire country.
