The 1998 Tulane Green Wave Football team was 2017 UCF before 2017 UCF. They went from 2-9 a couple years before to being 12-0, undefeated, and dynamic on both sides of the ball. Led by second-year head coach Tommy Bowden and future NFL QB Shaun King, they coasted past every one of their opponents but were constantly underlooked along the way thanks to the new BCS system and a lack of competition.
