Climbing out from Portoroz (LJPZ), Slovenia, 10 Miles west of Trieste, over the Gulf of Venice at 7000ft, climbing to FL150 within eight minutes, heading north to cross the Alps. Oxygen cannulas from the onboad oxygen system are necessary above 11.000 ft. You can see how to use the oxygen cannulas, the flow regulator to ajust the required O2-flow to the assigned altitude. Markus is checking his oxygen saturation with an oximeter-clip on his left index finger (06:29).
Later on due to icing conditions we had to climb to FL180 to be on top of the clouds. FL180 is the maximum altitude where you are allowed to use cannulas - in higher altitudes masks are mandatory. Watch the great cloudsurfing video above the Alps (linked at the end of the video).
