This was taken along Frood Street. The trestle above is the CN Sudbury Spur. One thing on my bucket list I had hoped to see but I didn't. I am not complaining though as what I got in Sudbury was awesome.
This is another bucket list catch for me. Rail Diesel cars in general have always been something I found interesting. VIA rail's Dayliners on Vancouver Island, Sydney NS and other routes that haven't been an thing in decades. For the longest time, the only RDC I could see was a burnt out RDC-9 in Walkley yard.
VIA 185 begins in Downtown Sudbury and runs northwest to the small town of White River. It does whistle stops when necessary for people living on remote communities not accessible by road. It leaves Sudbury at 09h00 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and returns Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 15h50 (on paper anyway).
