Der Brontojet wurde bereits im Jahr 1996 von Schwarzkopf gebaut und als "Viper" im Lightwater Valley von 1996-2001 (6 Jahre) in Betrieb genommen. Danach stand die Achterbahn in Loudoun Castle mit dem Namen "Slitherin" von 2002-2006 (5 Jahre). Und seit der Saison 2010 steht die Achterbahn mit dem Namen Brontojet im Movieland.
Der Brontojet ist mit zwei Zügen auf den Schienen unterwegs. In einem Zug können 12 Personen Platz nehmen.
Die Achterbahn ist auch unter dem Typ City Jet 400 bekannt.
