Works like it’s supposed to: traps the yucky stuff in your fish tank!
The Nitrate reducer filter pad does what it’s supposed to do. Being able to cut the filter pad to size helps to keep waste down. I use every bit of the pad. I’ve got a heavy load because at times I have over 300 freshwater snails along with my 9 fish in a 30 gal tank. It definitely helps keep the nitrates under control.
