Denmark’s foreign minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says a “fundamental disagreement” remains with President Donald Trump over Greenland, following White House talks with US officials. Rasmussen stressed there are no Chinese investments in Greenland and highlighted NATO agreements dating back to 1951. As the US continues to push for control over the semiautonomous island, Denmark plans to strengthen its military presence in the Arctic and North Atlantic. NATO allies including Germany, Sweden, and Norway are also sending personnel to Greenland to explore military cooperation.
