Seroma After Gynecomastia Surgery!
After gynecosurgery, one of the most common complications is post-surgical swelling. But did you know this swelling is not always due to fat or blood? In many cases, it’s a seroma – a fluid collection that forms under the skin where fat or gland tissue has been removed.
Seroma formation is seen in 5 to 10 percent of patients, especially when proper post-op care like wearing a compression garment is not followed.
While most seromas resolve on their own, some may need needle aspiration. It's important to differentiate between normal post-surgery swelling and seroma.
In our next reel, we will explain how to identify the difference.
Stay tuned to learn more about gynecosurgery recovery, post-op complications, seroma after surgery, and best practices for post-surgical care to ensure faster healing and better results.
