Weeki Wachee River Fun

Описание: Queen Day, King Baby David, and I — Captain AL — took off on my Sea Eagle FishSkiff 16 early in the morning. The river looked different this time. Normally, it’s got that brown tint from the current and all the boat traffic, but today it was clear — so clear you could see the grass beds and every ripple sliding past the hull. Even the sunlight bounced off the sand patches like we were somewhere tropical.

I tossed my line in and got a couple bites right off the bat. You could watch the fish dart in and out beneath the boat, something you don’t usually get to see in that stretch. Queen Day was grinning, King Baby David had the Bluetooth speaker rolling, and everything just felt easy.

On the way back, the manatees showed up like a slow parade, just floating and rolling in the calm water. We cut the motor, drifted beside them, and watched the bubbles rise. That’s the kind of day that sticks with you — the river clear, the bites coming steady, and good company aboard the FishSkiff 16.
