Nifty 50 Breakdown & India VIX Surge English 1 April 2025

Today is Tuesday, April 1, 2025. It was the first trading day of FY 2025-2026.
The market opened with a gap down of 178 points at 23,341. Right after the opening, the market showed a strong upside move and made a day high of 23,565, which was even higher than Friday’s closing.
From there, the market witnessed significant selling pressure. In the first half of the session, it first broke the 23,500 level, followed by 23,400, 23,300, and then 23,200.
In the second half of the session, the market showed sideways movement around the 23,200 strike price. The day’s low was recorded at 23,136, and finally, the market closed at 23,165. Which is 353 points down from Friday's closing.
India VIX also saw a strong surge today, closing at 13.78 points, up by 8.33%.

Today’s top gainers in Nifty 50 were IndusInd Bank and Trent.

Now, let’s take a look at today’s top losers in Nifty 50. The top losers were HCL Tech and Bajaj Finserv.

For Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the nearby resistance levels for Nifty are 23,230, 23,340, and 23,429.
The nearby support levels for Nifty are 23,121, 23,011, and 22,900.
