Monday 14 December 2020, I was out and about, as one is and does, and came across this lovely Morgan 4 cylinder outside a nearby shopping mall.
It seems this car was new in UK in 1980 and was imported into NZ in 1989. Curiously it's details on the publically viewable CarJam website show it's registered as a 5 seater. So I guess that one person can squeeze behind the front seats in the slim luggage area, with another 2 passengers tied to the luggage rack on the boot (trunk) lid !
Today was pleasant with a maximum temperature expected of 20*C (that's 68*F for that 3% of the Earth's population who are USAmericans LOL) so lovely weather for some open top motoring.
I took some still photos at the time (not displayed here on Youtube) and I notice from the 4 gauges that it has a Voltmeter but NOT an Ammeter. I'm assuming that being a 1980 model, this vehicle is new enough to have an AC Alternator, so battery charging should never be a problem in normal use, even though those earlier model alternators only put out (between 28 to 55 Amps) being a fraction of the maximum charging Amps of today's alternators (often over 100 Amps).
