Top Story: Vice President Sara Duterte said she hopes that the International Criminal Court (ICC) would be fair to father, former president Rodrigo Duterte.
The Duterte patriarch will face the tribunal's confirmation of charges hearing starting February 23, where ICC judges decide whether the prosecution's allegations are strong enough to proceed to trial.
The Vice President said she was not yet aware of what would transpire during the confirmation of charges as she was not part of the defense team handling her detained father’s case.
“Ang mahalaga ay meron siyang mga abogado na ka-meeting niya lagi ngayon at kausap niya lagi ngayon para mapag-usapan nila yung paghahanda nila para sa confirmation of charges,” she said in Davao City on Thursday. — Report from Hernel Tocmo, ABS-CBN News
