ICC Digital filmed an extraordinary concert when Chris Kavanagh performed his tribute to the legendary Luke Kelly to a packed out audience at our venue in Hammersmith in 2021. We had been planning to launch a one hour special recording of this gig on Wed 23rd of March, but when the sad news came through of the passing of songwriter Pete St. John, we decided to honour him with this preview of Chris Kavanagh singing one of Pete’s most memorable songs, ‘The Rare Ould Times’.
Accompanying Chris is Joe Finn on the fiddle, Hilary Kavanagh on bass and Gerry Tully on Guitar. The full one hour concert of Chris Kavanagh and ‘The Legend Of Luke Kelly’ is coming to you on ICC Digital very soon!
