Mozzy Sails analyses tacking technique in the RS 800 two person skiff. Looking at the effect of mainsheet tension through the turn to optimise exit speed.
With their large sail areas and low weight hulls skiff come to a grinding halt when rounded in to the wind. This can make stalling out in tacks a common problem. This video we got out in some high wind conditions to work on our tacking technique and improve exit speed.
