I played a friendly set against SL, an experienced all-rounder tennis player in Singapore with a good serve, ground strokes and drop shots. For the match, i shifted my game from only trying to hit cross-courts to being more patient and hitting deep in the middle or to the back hand side. This is because i realized that hitting cross-court first actually opens up the angle for the opponent to play without going long (θ≈34.7°); whereas hitting deep in the middle of the baseline reduces to the angle (θ≈19.1°). That’s almost double the angle from the center which reduce my unforced error, raise my consistency and level up my game
