Shearing is important for sheep health. Their fleece grows continuously like our hair and needs to be clipped off. The trained shearer comes to shear our sheep before lambing so the ewes are more comfortable and the lbs can easily find a clean teat. He easily tips them over to their rump which immobilized them while he quickly give them their trim. It only takes about 2 minutes and they run off to their friends again.
I also show how I skirt and pack the fleece.
