DIY skateboard Bearing Cleaner System- The Happy Skateboarder - How to - Cheap and works great

Описание: D.I.Y. Skateboard Bearing Cleaning Unit:

Bones Bearings make a quality cleaning unit for your bearings but my local doesn’t stock them & they are $32aud on eBay with a bottle of Bones Speed Cream, so minus the $14ish the bottle of Speed Creams worth, that $18 for the cleaning unit... mine cost me $6.25aud & I got to have a Gatorade to drink included in that too.

This video gives an easy step by step to making your own DIY bearing cleaner with simple bits & pieces you might already have or that are easily found at local hardware shops.

Tools required:
•Drill or something you can make a hole in a lid with
•8mm Drill Bit (or 5/16 Drill bit for imperial measurements)(not needed if you are making the whole with something other then a drill)
•lighter (not really required, I needed it cause of the sqaure end of my bolt)
•littl water container (this is just so you can wet your finger when working with Shoe Goo

Parts you’ll need:
•Gatorade bottle (mine was full so you’ll need to drink it first) or any other container large enough to house the finish bearing holder. Must have larger lid so coke bottle etc. at out ~$3 from Coles
•150mm 8M bolt (6inch 5/16 bolt- imperial size) ~$1.38 From Bunnings
•8m Wing nut (5/16 Wing nut- imperial size) ~$1.85 from Bunnings (came in a pack of 2 for $3.65)
•8 Bearing spacers (I had 4 spare & will just use the ones in my wheels when I clean my bearings) ~ already owned but can be had for cheap at any good skate shop
•Shoe Goo (I use Shoe Goo to repair my shoes a lot so always have some on hand, PVA should work fine too, or any kind of sticky stuff. Like I said if you wanna be janky you could use chewed gum. It’s just to stop leaking when you shake the bottle when cleaning your bearings) ~ already owned, but can be gotten from any good skate shop
