Following Jesus grows in stages. This Catholic faith explained video by speaker Ken Yasinski demonstrates that our relationship with Jesus in not a static thing. We are all called to holiness. We are called to be a saint. Jesus invites us to mature in our relationship with Him. Like a child who matures in their relationship with their earthly father, we as children of God are invited to mature in relationship with Jesus. This is part of discipleship. Being a disciple of Christ means maturing. It means changing. It demands growing beyond were we are at, to a deeper love of Christ.

Ken Yasinski is a full time Catholic speaker proclaiming the fullness of the faith since 1999. At the core of every message and video, he challenges people to strive towards their full potential in life, that is to be a saint. The universal call to holiness, is universal! God excludes nobody from the privilege of union with him.
So how do we follow Christ?
Being a disciple of Jesus, means that we are in a relationship with Him.
1 - Sometimes we follow Christ out of fear of punishment. Sometimes my children listen to me purely because they know, if they don’t, the are going to lose a privilege. That might be a treat, a toy, some freedom (end up in the corner) if we really want get them motivate, the threat of lose of screen time transforms them from sinners to saints. Is that good. Sure it’s a starting point. It also teaches children that here is consequences to actions. If kids don’t this when they are young (we who love our kids), then the world will when they are older (and the world won’t be as forgiving as mom and dad).
2 - Sometimes we follow Jesus for a reward. Sometime my kids listen to me, not out of fear of loss, but because they are motivate by a possible gain.
3 - Sometimes we follow Jesus out of love. There has been occasions when our young children have done something extraordinary charitable. Not because they were fearful of punishment. Not because the were looking for a reward. But seemly because they wanted to do something kind. Being a mature disciple of Jesus Christ means maturing in love. St. John of the Cross said “In the evening of life, we will be judge on love alone.”
It is an imperfect love to obey out of fear.
It it an imperfect love to obey for a reward.
To obey God, simply to love him for his sake, this is what it means to become a person fully. This is also when happiness is found.
We hope this Catholic faith explained video has been a blessing to your life.
