Calculations
Air pollution from car exhausts:
43,343 US car crash deaths, 2005.[1] (similar to now)
58,000 US deaths from car exhausts, 2005 [2].
58,000÷43,343= 1.34.
So air pollution from cars kills 1.34⨉ as many people as crashes

Inactivity toll from car use:
3 million global deaths from inactivity, 2010.[3]
1,350,000 global car crash deaths.[4]
3,000,000÷1,250,000 = 2.22.
Inactivity kills 2.22⨉ as many people as car crashes.
