WHAT’S INSIDE THE 1688 TOY WHOLESALE MARKET IN SHANTOU, CHINA 🧸🇨🇳

Located in Chenghai District, Shantou, this place is packed with tons of toy varieties! I came here during China’s National Holiday, and even though I arrived around 3 PM, there was still a long queue of people 😅
.
The most worth-it item (in my opinion) is the Lego-style toys. I compared the prices with the 1688 app (Alibaba) — surprisingly, some items are actually cheaper online than offline, which I found quite ridiculous 😆 so I didn’t buy too much.

Next stop: Lai Wu Wan Huan Le — kind of an amusement park by the beach. Sadly, I couldn’t catch the sunset because the sky wasn’t clear. The entrance fee is 30 RMB.

Since it’s located a bit far, it took me about an hour to find a driver to take me back.

Ended the day by enjoying a 75 RMB salmon delivery at my hotel. Since Shantou is a coastal city, the salmon was fresh, meaty, and totally worth it! 🐟✨
