The Sword of Liberty, which depicts the life and times of Velu Thambi Dalawa is a tribute to the immortal hero of the erstwhile kingdom of Travancore. This film enganges the viewer in the unravelling of the saga: how a nineteen-year-old confidant of the king goes on to become one of the most distinguished leaders in the history of Travancore; and how external forces manipulate his tragic end.
