A suspect is arrested when Barnes notices a man (Forest Whitaker from Panic Room and Repo Men) with a camera. He rushes to ask him if he has filmed the scene and watches the recording when a second explosion breaks out.

What’s the movie Vantage Point about?
Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid from Legion and Dragonheart) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are two secret agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt from Body Heat and Children of a Lesser God) at a summit conference on terrorism in Spain. Shortly after his arrival, the president is the victim of an assassination attempt. In the crowd, an American tourist (Forest Whitaker from Panic Room and Repo Men) filmed the entire scene. Rex (Sigourney Weaver from Alien and The Ice Storm), a reporter for an American TV channel, was also a privileged witness of the 15 minutes before and after the shooting. It is by following the reconstruction of these moments lived by these 4 characters that the terrible truth which hides behind this attack will be revealed to us. The action takes place entirely in Salamanca, Spain. However, only a few scenes were actually shot there, most of them having been filmed in Mexico.
