Class Location vs High Consequence Areas -- PHMSA Class Location Workshop

Описание: On April 16, 2014, PHMSA held a public workshop to discuss and seek comment on whether applying Integrity Management Program requirements beyond High Consequence Areas would mitigate the need for pipeline class location requirements.

Locations along gas pipelines are divided into classes -- ranging from Class 1 (rural) to Class 4 (densely populated) -- and are based on the number of buildings or dwellings for human occupancy in the area. Gas IMP requirements use a different approach to identify areas of higher risk along pipelines.
