Sacred Falls (Kaliuwa'a) 10.11.13

Описание: "The Mana could be felt all around at this place". My cousin and I had Sacred Falls on our bucket list. So I asked her let's do this. Just reading about this place gave me chicken skin and hearing about DNLR or Police giving out expensive citation made me more nervous, but I had to go. After this amazing adventure it made me appreciate how sacred this place is. I'm blessed to have seen this beautiful place and making it out safely. (Mahalo Ke Akua) This is one of those adventures I consider not doing it again. It's sacred for a reason.
There was a tragedy on Mother's day in 1999, that killed 8 people and injured more then 50 people. Sacred Falls Park and Sacred Falls trail has been closed since due to the tragedy. The State of Hawaii has no plans to re-open the park. It is illegal to hike this trail and to do so would be cause for citation or arrest. There is also a risk of falling boulders, landslides, and drowning.

All in all this adventure (place) is my favorite, just because it's sacred and the beauty it offers to those that get to see this place. All comes down to respect and the love for the 'Aina. Being raised by a hawaiian family thought me about culture and to live pono. (Righteousness) It was a blessing to see beyond the pictures and stories your see or hear on the internet. Malama i ke kai, Malama i ka 'aina. Aloha!!
