Pseudomugil getrudae is also called spotted furcata or spotted blue eye rainbowfish. It is one of the most popular dwarf rainbowfishes for nano tank due to its small size. It has nice blue eyes and yellow body which is decorated with interesting spotted fins and tail.

Habitat:It originated from Maluku Island in Indonesia, Australia and Papua New Guinea but has been successfully bred in captivity. It inhabits slow moving rivers with clear water with dense vegetations.

Characteristic:The Pseudomugilgetrudae is a great choice for communal tank since it is not aggressive and get along with other species well. It will mostly occupy top part of the tank. Dense planted tank is highly appreciated by it. It is shoaling fish that is best to keep with a group of at least 10 individuals.

Diet:Frozen bloodworm, live tubifex and high-gradefloating pellet will be accepted readily.

Suitable tank mates: Tetras, Corydoras, plecos, shrimps and other pseudomugil
Unsuitable tank mates: Malawi cichlids, Arowanas, Tiger fish and other aggressive fish.
