This is the extraordinary story of Rahim, a young boy from Uganda, fondly called the “Miracle Boy” by his doctors. Rahim arrived at the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR), Muddenahalli, Karnataka, with a critical heart condition and was scheduled for life-saving surgery.

Just the night before his operation, Rahim suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and became completely unresponsive — a moment when all hope seemed lost. Despite the medical reality, his doctors refused to give up. For nearly 45 minutes, relentless chest compressions were performed until a pulse was finally detected. By morning, Rahim had remarkably stabilised and returned to normalcy.

Against all odds, Rahim underwent a successful heart surgery. His recovery was steady, and on the 6th post-operative day, he was discharged. Today, Rahim can live a near-normal life, just like other children his age — a living testament to resilience, medical excellence, and compassion that never surrenders.
