Bata
Bata Corporation (originally, and in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, known as Baťa) is a Czech multinational footwear and fashion accessory manufacturer and retailer founded in Zlín, today in the Czech Republic. Bata Pakistan since 1942 has been rendering services for its customers through quality products.

Incorporated in Pakistan as Bata Shoe Company (Pakistan) Limited in 1951, it went public becoming Bata Pakistan Limited in 1979.

Batapur is a Town near the city of Lahore, Pakistan. It was established as a residence for the workers of Bata shoe factory. The international airport is the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore is on 20 minutes’ drive through Lahore Ring Road. This was ruined once during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965 and Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

Battle of Batapur
The Battle of Batapur was fought in between Pakistan and India on 6 September 1965. 15 Infantry Division under World War II veteran Major General Nirinjan Parsad crossed the international border and started advancing towards Lahore. 15 Division was supported by 14 Scinde Horse, the tank regiment equipped with Sherman tanks.

On the Pakistan side it was 3 Baloch Regiment under command of Lieutenant Colonel Tajammal Hussain Malik which started for BRBL canal.

The battle ended in Pakistani victory.

The battle forced Nirinjan Parsad to retreat leaving behind his jeep and personal papers and dairy, which were captured by Pakistan army. Pakistan radio broadcast excerpt from the paper which caused great deal of embarrassment of India.

Bambawali-Ravi-Bedian Canal
Bambanwala-Ravi-Bedian Canal (BRB Canal), also called Ichogil Canal, is a manmade waterway in Pakistan that takes off from the Upper Chenab Canal near the Bambanwala village (to the west of Daska), runs southeast until reaching close to the India-Pakistan border and then runs south parallel to the border. It ends at the Sutlej near Kangan Pur 100 km south of Lahore. It is the source of the Lahore Canal which runs westwards to the city of Lahore.

The Ichogil Canal was constructed by Pakistan in the 1950s partly as a defensive obstacle to prevent an invasion of Lahore. At 45 m (148 ft) wide and 5 m (16 ft) deep, it presents a serious obstacle for military forces. It was captured by Indian forces during Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 in the Battle of Ichogil Bund.
