Ashes mixed with wood crumbles in the ratio 3:1 can be used as litter. Ashes helps to get rid of body toxins and parasites in hen. It aslo prevents hen lices. during monsoon atleast clean your hen coop in alternative days. I removed sheet in upper part of coop and cleaned it nicely with penoyil and dried in sunlight.
If ashes are not available, those people can use feed up yeast or waste rider. 50gram feed up yeast can be mixed with half litre of water thoroughly and can be sprayed in hen coop.
