Formed in February 1976 The Wasps were one of London’s earliest punk bands. They were regulars at The Roxy, The Bridge House etc. and soon built a large following.

The Wasps here featuring Jesse Lynn-Dean singer/songwriter, Steve Wollaston bass, Johnny Rich drums & Gary Wellman guitar.
This track "I've got something to tell you" appears on their highly prized album "Punkyronics", released 2003 on Overground Records.

The Wasps have 2 of their live performances featured on the notorious Live at The Vortex album. The now Punk classic "Can't Wait Till '78" and their amphetamine crazed and much revered version of Lou Reed's Velvet Underground, "Waiting for My Man".
