I was thinking this video would have been the timing belt, but the part didn't arrive by the time I started filming. I decided on doing the exhaust next. The plan was to bring the exhaust in overnight and allow it to warm up. Once all of the old heat wrap was removed, the parts were hung one at a time for a furious few rounds of rattle canning of VHT Flameproof ceramic spray.
With the paint allowed to set for another night, it was ready for wrapping. The 50ft. rolls were supplied with five metal tie straps each. These thin straps are essential to doing this. When regular hose clamps are used near exhaust flanges, they can interfere with exhaust nut/bolt hardware and prevent easily getting a tool in place. Heat wrap isn't for an average application, money is best spent elsewhere. If you are having heating issues, heat wrap may help your situation.
Thanks for watching! Cracked the 700 Club this week, thank you! I'm going to keep rolling out content. STi is getting closer every few days now. Make sure to check back Sunday for Part 10 of the build. STAY TUNED!
