How to Form an LLC in the State of Hawaii under the Statute 23A-428-203 and is valid for any individual that is a resident of Hawaii to operate a business.

Steps
1. Choose Your Company Name. - Perhaps the most important question of the LLC process is choosing your name. Make sure you do not choose a name that has been previously registered by using the Hawaii LLC Name Search Tool.
2. Fill-Out Hawaii Articles of Organization. - You will need to completely fill out the Articles of Organization and submit with a filing fee of $50.00 made to the Secretary of State and mail to the address below:
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS, Business Registration Division, 335 Merchant Street, Mailing Address: P.O. Box 40, Honolulu, Hawaii 96810
Add an extra $25 for expedited processing.
3. Apply for IRS EIN Number. - If you have more than one member in your LLC or you have intentions of opening a bank account, you will need an Employment Identification Number.
Tips
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Highly recommended to have a LLC Operating Agreement.
