An industry that felt unfairly targeted by the Biden administration spent big to get Trump back into office. David Bailey, founder of Bitcoin Magazine, and the man who reportedly convinced Trump to back the currency in a meeting at Mar a Lago, says cyrpto-currency holders swung the election in his favour.
Trump and Melania launched their own meme coins - a move even crypto fans say looks like an unseemly cash grab - but another sign that the influence of crypto-currency in US economic policy is likely to grow during his presidency.
