In 1995 begon Kink FM uit te zenden als één van de eerste alternatieve muziek radiozenders op de Nederlandse kabel. In dezelfde periode gebruikte de nationale zender Radio 3FM de slogan: "Radio 3FM. De jongste", met een klein geel kuiken als mascotte.
In deze twee tv commercials als eerste 3FM en daarna Kink FM die zich als alternatieve radio afzet tegen de nationale mainstream zender en bijbehorende mascotte.
