R32 Q Train Farewell Ride: 96th Street – 2nd Avenue, Manhattan to/from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Broadway Express, via Manhattan Bridge, and Brighton Express

Franklin Avenue Shuttle: Franklin Avenue to/from Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
The R32s ran on the MTA system since 1964. They are also known as the 'Brightliners' because of their shiny stainless steel design and they debuted on the Brighton line (today's Q line in Brooklyn). These cars were a part of an order to provide better service for the public. A majority of these cars were replaced by the R160s between 2006 and 2010. The rest of the fleet went through a maintenance makeover and continued running until 2022. After 58 years of service on the MTA, they are now replaced by the R179s. To send them off, the MTA and the New York Transit Museum ran retirement/farewell rides for 4 Sundays to give passengers a final opportunity to ride on them.
