► Endymion and The Moon

Loyal to his solitude, Endymion would mitigate his melancholy by beholding the moon.

With the passing of time, his heart began nurturin from this silent and affectionate contemplation until he finally fell in love with Selene (the moon).

Come the dawn, if the weather was fair, the shepherd would slumber under the infinite firmament, naked.

One warm night, without a hint of the profound love she had inspired, Selene found Endymion sleeping. Bewildered by the beauty of that man, she fell helplessly in love, and she loved him with the bright stars as the only witnesses.

While he is awake, he is deeply in love with an impossible goddess; while is asleep, Endymion unknowingly becomes the objecto of desire of that same goddess he longs for.

Selene does not dare wake him up in case it would destroy such a romantically perfect situation.

Thus, unaware of their mutual love, night after night, they love each other quiet and passionately.
