The first new school to be built in Moray for 15 years opened to pupils today.
The £10million Keith Primary School has been built close to the site of its predecessor.
All 380 primary and nursery pupils walked the short distance between the two sites to mark the closure of one chapter in the school's history and the opening of a new one.
The procession was headed by members of the local Strathisla Pipe Band which set off after acting head teacher Elizabeth Beattie had rung the handbell at the old school for the last time.
The honour of cutting the ribbon at the entrance to the new school went to nursery pupil Chloe McWilliam, who was also celebrating her fourth birthday.
