To quickly address the situations with contested areas:
KOSOVO: The region of Kosovo is disputed. While it is not a member of the UN, it is recognized by the government of my country (Canada). However, you are entitled to your opinion.
CRIMEA: Crimea is disputed territory between Ukraine and Russia. It is generally believed to be contested territory, and most maps will have it shown as disputed territory. However, a lot of countries, including the government of Canada, show it as Ukrainian territory taken by Russia.
TURKISH CYPRUS/NORTHERN CYPRUS: The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, is only recognized by one country, Turkey, and as such, due to its lack of much recognition, I left it out.
