The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) Physics and Medicine at the Max-Planck-Zentrum für Physik und Medizin (MPZPM) is a highly innovative new graduate program established in 2022. IMPRS-PM educates and trains a new generation of scientists with insight into both physics and medical research.
In collaboration with the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the University Hospital Erlangen (UKER), we offer MSc stipends and PhD positions. The language of instruction and interaction of our structured graduate program is English. Knowledge of the German language is not required, but we also offer German language classes at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) and FAU.
Applications from entering master’s students are processed in two rounds with deadlines on January 15th and May 31st for the academic year starting in the following October.
Students with a master’s degree who are interested in pursuing a PhD within IMPRS-PM can apply and start at any time during the year.
