House of Roofs at North Paravoor is resettlement for a family on their own ancestral property respecting the family values.
Challenge of the project was to be selective in creating spaces matching needs of a joint family of brothers to spend their events together. House is segregated to blocks with simple landscape in between. The private and joint family spaces are segregated using the placement of the blocks.
These blocks are connected by a long open verandah at backside facing the rear landscape where family events can happen.
Each rooms have enough ventilation and views to landscape and behave like individualised private spaces and connected to family spaces at the same time. More updates to come.
