Описание: This episode of Fun with Maps looks at the home of Mt. Everest, the highest place on Earth and its surrounding area. Host Dan Hanson shows the Himalayas and other interesting parts of the surrounding area such as the “chicken-neck” corridor in India separating Nepal and Bangladesh. Nepal is often associated with its neighbor, Bhutan, and we look at the similarities and differences. There are a lot of interesting items such as the birth place of the first Buddha, the only non-rectangular national flag and Hindu cremation rituals in the Bagmati River in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal.
