Hey everyone! Today, I’m taking you to an exclusive private event at Porsche’s shop in Richmond Centre. This event is called ‘Watches, Whisky, and Wheels.’ Let me show you a night with the newly redesigned 911, premium whisky, and a custom timepiece.
This event was a showcase of three things that you may know and love: The first is the latest 911 model, the second is Dalmore Whiskies, and finally a beautiful custom watch to fit a custom car. Let’s start with the star of the show—the all-new 2025 Porsche 911, the 992.2.
For those who aren’t familiar, every new 911 release is an evolution of the classic design, and the 992.2 is no exception. You’ll see refined curves, updated tech, and that unmistakable presence that every 911 has. Porsche’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and luxury while keeping heritage in focus really shines here.
Getting inside the car, you immediately notice some modern updates. The center dash is now a full curved display, replacing the previous two small display and analog RPM meter. The classic turn-to-start ignition has been upgraded to a push-to-start button, giving it a more contemporary feel. The rear seat delete comes standard, so if you want this to be 2+2 seater, you’ll have to option them back in. On first look, though, the rest of the interior layout remains pretty similar to the previous model, staying true to Porsche’s signature style.
On the exterior, Porsche has made some bold tweaks as well. The front lights now have a shark-fin-like look with similar framing for the Porsche logo. Both the front and rear have been redesigned, with the indicator lights now integrated into the main light housings for a cleaner, seamless look. The new wheel designs bring a fresh aesthetic to the lineup while still honoring the classic Porsche look.
But it wasn’t just about the cas. Porsche partnered with Dalmore Whisky to give a taste of their finest offerings. I tried their Graham - a 10 Year old tawny. This one tasted smooth on the pallet and after with a hint of sweetness. I was told the tawny port barrels this whisky was aged in provided this uniqueness. This is definitely a treat for whisky lovers! After this tasting, a bottle will definitely be added to my whisky collection.
And, of course, to complete the trio of Ws, there were the timepieces! Porsche watches carry the same attention to detail as their cars. Each watch can be customized to be just like a customized car. You can even match the color of the watch to the color of the car! If this doesn’t perfectly capture the spirit of Porsche with precision and style, then I don’t know what else would!
Whether you’re into cars, timepieces, or whisky—or maybe all three—this event was an unforgettable evening of luxury and passion.
Thanks for coming along with me to this event. Between the new 911, Dalmore’s premium whisky, and these stunning watches, it was a celebration of people, togetherness, and craftsmanship.
