We entered the park from the south side via the famous Generals Highway, a steep, exposed mountain road filled with sharp turns, sheer drop-offs, and moments that definitely tested our nerves. If you’re planning to drive this route, this video gives you a realistic look at what to expect.

After conquering the drive, we parked at the General Sherman Trail parking lot and walked down into a magical grove of massive giant sequoias. Standing next to the legendary General Sherman Tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume, is one of those moments that makes you feel incredibly small—and incredibly grateful to be there.

We wrapped up our Sequoia adventure with an amazing riverside dinner, celebrating the journey, the views, and the unforgettable experience of visiting one of California’s most awe-inspiring national parks.
