It was a much-needed signature win for Tallmadge as they score in the final 2 minutes to upend rival Barberton, 20-14.
Defense came up clutch multiple times for the 8-2 Blue Devils, stopping two Magic 4th down tries in the final quarter to go with a fumble in the final minute to seal the win.
Ty Hurst finished with 202 yards and a pair of TDs through the air and Collin Dixon hauled in both scores (and a 2-point conversion) among his nine-catch, 121-yard effort.
Tallmadge welcomes Villa Angela-St. Joseph to town on Friday as they look for their first playoff win since 2017.
