During Golden Week, airports were quiet, and train stations were not as crowded as I had expected. After arriving at Haneda (HND) Airport, we took a Japan Airlines domestic flight to Osaka (ITM) Airport.
After spending three days in Osaka, I took the stunning *Four Seasons decoration Garaku Train* from Umeda Station to Kyoto. During my four days in Kyoto, I explored Nishiki Market, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and Monkey Park. My favorite places were Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka Shrine in the Gion District—crowded but breathtaking.
After four days in Kyoto, I boarded the *Shinkansen bullet train* from Kyoto Station to Mishima Station, followed by a 1.5-hour bus ride ([Fujikyu City Bus](https://www.fujikyucitybus.com)) to Kawaguchiko Lake Station.
*Tip:* Upon arrival, I visited the Tourist Information Center and asked the staff to call my booked hotel. They arranged for a shuttle to pick me up.
I stayed at *Kasuitei Ooya Hotel* on the lakeside, in a room with an open-air bath and included meals. The lake view from the room was spectacular—I sipped tea, enjoyed the fresh breeze, and admired the scenery from the balcony. The in-room five-course meal service was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I rented bike to cycle around the lake, stopping at Chureito Pagoda and Oishi Park.
After two unforgettable days, I took the *Highway Bus* ([Highway Bus Info](https://www.highwaybus.com/gp/inbound/inbB...) to Tokyo, where I stayed at the **Asakusa View Hotel**. The hotel offered stunning views of Tokyo Skytree and was within walking distance of Senso-ji Temple and Nishi-sandō Shopping Street.
Overall, it was a fun and memorable trip.
